Sustainability

Sustainability

Our journey to sustainability began on the runway at Australian Fashion week in 2012, when designer Leah Madden chose to use a 100% recycled Italian fabric for our first eco friendly collection "The Honeymoon". The first sustainable swimwear collection to launch in Australia. Our textile of choice 'ECONYL' is made from regenerated Nylon, sourced from recycled fishing nets. As Australia's first swimwear brand to focus on sustainable fashion practices, we continue to explore ways we can care for our world, and this beautiful country we call home.

We have since continued to focus on sustainable fashion practices and ways we can reduce our footprint, and are moving toward shipping all of our orders in biodegradable and compostable recycled cardboard boxes, instead of plastic satchels.

We look forward to sharing more news with you and invite your input on our sustainability practices.

Please email thegirls@whitesandsswim.com with any questions or suggestions, we would love your input!
