Destination: Byron Bay

Once known for its sustainable lifestyle, chilled out approach and locals only vibe Byron Bay while still reminiscent with the same charm is now the Australian playground for high-end fashion, five-star accommodation and luxury living.

When your neighbours with Hollywood A-Listers like Chris Hemsworth (and family), Matt Damon and Zac Efron it's no wonder why everyone is escaping to this dreamy town for some RnR. Our Creative Director, Leah Madden, shares her favourite spots to eat, stay and play.

EAT....

World celebrated chefs are popping up in and around Byron Bay all  the time. Three Blue Ducks is a rustic favourite that serves up authentic cuisines that is fresh, from paddock to plate! The dining room at Raes on Watego's is a hot spot for tourists and locals alike. If you are looking for Mediterranean than the Mez Club's European fit out and menu will be the place for you. What to wear? Think elevated poolside resort were, a wrap sarong skirt over a maillot, or kaftan is effortless elegance Byron style.

If your still in your bikini and just looking for a quick bite, then the Bondi Beach Hotel or Miss Margaritas is the spot for you: casual dining done right! Bikini and sarong is the dress code.

STAY....

While there are now 100's of places to stay in Byron, our favourites will forever be: Atlantic at Byron (perfect for a longer stay), Raes on Watego's (you will need to book well in advance), The Bower - because who doesn't need a round swimming pool on their Instagram feed? **Disclosure: We heard Elements of Byron has an Adults Only section, so if you're leaving the kids at home (yours or not wanting to be around others) then the swim-up pool bar has your name all over it. The dress code is luxe Resortwear coverups and designer bikinis. A high cut one piece and sarong is all you'll need all week.

PLAY....

Start the day with the walk up the Byron Light House, Australia's most easterly point with views to match. It's not only a great way to build up an appetite for breakfast but stop for swims along the way back and find your own piece of sandy paradise. Swim fashion is minimalistic in Byron where the locals go au natural and any of the several nude beaches. If you aren't brave enough go so sans bikini, a micro thong bikini or Brazilian cut bottoms is ideal. Byron Bikes is another great way to get around, especially if you want to have a cocktail with lunch, rent yourself two wheels and cruise your way to The Farm to play with animals and shop local foods.
